How can you incorporate “Love Languages” into your content?
Customizing our content to our audience’s unique needs goes a long way in keeping them engaged and building the relationship.
Here are some insights about using love language in your content!
This will help stimulate your creative juices and get them flowing so that you can come up with even more ways to do this.
#1 — Words of Affirmation.
What words and language would make someone feel affirmed, SEEN, and cared for?
This is an inherent need that we all have to feel complimented and loved and special. To be reinforced verbally with words and language. To be recognized.
So think about how you can use your content to reinforce and encourage your audience… To uplift them and really get them feeling positive and good about the work that they’re doing, or even about the work they will eventually do with you.
Can you uplift them? Compliment them? Give them courage? Offer hope?
Have you told them they’re doing a great job already, or does your content just criticize what they need to “fix?”
#2 — Little Gifts.
How can you make your everyday audience feel “VIP” for a day?
What are some ways that you can gift your client or audience?
How can you treat them and make them feel special?
Perhaps there’s a really special freebie that you’d like to offer out to your audience, or some kind of upgraded opt-in, where you can give away something that’s extremely valuable, making them feel really special, like they’re receiving a special treat from you.
Little gifts can make them feel valuable.
Think about those special little moments when a friend, partner or child left you a surprise love note or gift.
How can that translate into your content and gifting your audience?
#3 — Touch.
How can your content become something that they can touch and be touched by?
When we think about touch in terms of content, it brings to life how important it is that your content feels tangible.
How can you use your content to create something that is tangible, rather than something that is abstract?
How can you create an experience for your audience that makes it feel like they are already working with you?
Are there various different emotions you can evoke to help them feel something?
Can you use language that is particularly tangible, describing things that they can really grip on to and feel in a very realistic way?
Can you help them to feel understood?
#4 — Quality Time.
How can you give your time in a meaningful way?
Perhaps it’s through doing a livestream, or running a challenge, or some other contact that involves time spent together where they are receiving value from you.
The time we put into our free content, blogs, videos, tips, etc, also counts towards quality time, but we can think about ways of spending time that directly benefits our audience and makes them feel very important.
Think about how you felt when someone spent time on you or for you – How can you do this for your peeps?
#5 — Acts of Service.
How can you provide a service for your audience on an unpleasant task?
This one has to do with picking up the tricky, tedious, annoying, difficult tasks on behalf of someone else, to save them having to do it.
We can do this for our audience by offering advice, suggestions, or tips to help them reduce or eliminate those really tedious tasks.
These are the things that they hate doing, the things that they don’t enjoy doing in their business or personal world that you can help with.
What are the things they HATE doing, that you know about and that also relate easily to your work?
Can you make their lives easier with a cool shortcut or hack?
How can you be creative with this?
What other ideas can you add?
By making your audience feel “loved” and valued in the unique ways we all receive it best, you can continue to build the beautiful relationship that leads them on the path towards eventually working together in a more direct capacity.
